Elektro Ljubljana d.d. is the largest electrical distribution company in the Republic of Slovenia, covering the Slovenian capital Ljubljana and regions around.
Based upon more than 110 years of tradition, the company’s mission is to comprehensively and reliably provide the consumer with high-quality electrical energy and related services at a competitive price.

Elektro Ljubljana’s activities may be divided into statutory and commercial operations:
Statutory Operations
- Operation and management of the distribution network;
- Co-ordinating the operations of the national grid transmission system with the regional distribution network;
- Transmission of electrical energy through the distribution network;
- Construction, development and maintenance of the distribution network;
- Performing measurements and analyses of voltage quality across the network;
- Measurement of power flows;
- Calculation of network charges;
- Ensuring network access to all consumers;
- Management of relations with network users.
Commercial Operations
- Calculation of power consumption;
- Activities fostering the efficient use of energy;
- Managing the energy balances of suppliers;
- Purchase of electrical energy;
- Marketing of electricity and related products;
- Sales of electricity and related product;
- Performance of distribution network construction and maintenance services;
- Marketing services, consultancy and works in the field of planning, construction, maintenance and optimisation of power distribution and consumer networks.
Operations are performed at the Company’s Headquarters in Ljubljana and five local distribution centres in south-central Slovenia, namely: Ljubljana city, Ljubljana environs, Novo Mesto, Trbovlje and Kočevje.
